Corporate Finance

Kvika provides advice on the acquisition, sale and merger of companies and business entities.

Corporate acquisitions, sales and mergers

Kvika provides advice on the acquisition, sale and merger of companies and business entities. Corporate Finance’s role is often to oversee such processes, explore opportunities, perform valuations, analyse value-adding factors, offer methodological advice, handle negotiations, and wrap up transactions. Kvika’s role includes offering independent advice with the aim of safeguarding its customers’ interests.

Financing businesses via stock or bond auctions

Over the years, many Icelandic businesses and institutions have issued securities to finance their operations, investments or loan payments (refinancing). Pension funds and mutual funds are important and powerful investors who can finance the operations and growth of business. Our Corporate Finance division helps businesses with refinancing loans with financial institutions, by assisting in the drafting of auction documents and analyses and giving advice on offers received.

Listing and delisting stocks and bonds

To facilitate trading, securities are listed on the Iceland Stock Exchange. Businesses do not need to have their stocks listed on the Iceland Stock Exchange in order to request listing of a bond series. Listing a bond series increases the liquidity of bonds in an initial public offering. The process of listing on the Iceland Stock Exchange is a demanding task that requires overview and expertise. Our corporate finance division has extensive experience in handling listings and delistings of shares and bonds.

Corporate Banking

Kvika offers niche corporate lending and tailored financing to professional clients.

Specialised lending

Kvika provides businesses, institutions and investors with specialised lending to finance such things as real estate, real estate development, securities transactions and other investments. The division also uses the bank’s infrastructure to distribute loans to other institutional investors.
